BENEFIT, the Kingdom’s innovator and leading company in Fintech and electronic financial transactions service, participated in the second edition of the International Conference on Sustainable Innovations in Management in Digital Transformation ERA (SIMDTE 2025).
The event, hosted by the University of Technology Bahrain, was held over two days at the InterContinental Hotel Bahrain and attended by Her Excellence Dr. Diana AlJahromi, Secretary General of the Higher Education Council on behalf of His Excellency Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Higher Education Council.
Mr. Abdulwahed AlJanahi, Chief Executive of BENEFIT, took part as a keynote speaker during the opening session of the conference, and discussed sweeping global transformations shaping the landscape of digital financial transactions, noting that recent years have witnessed a major shift in the very concept of money and banking services.
Mr. AlJanahi explained that financial transactions have now transcended the limits of geography and time to become faster, more transparent, and more inclusive than ever before, and emphasized that this evolving reality places a growing responsibility on financial institutions and fintech companies to innovate responsibly, strengthen trust, and promote financial inclusion as a cornerstone of sustainability and competitiveness in the digital economy.
The Chief Executive of BENEFIT further highlighted Bahrain’s success in positioning itself as a leading regional hub for FinTech, attributing this achievement to its progressive regulatory and legislative environment and to national initiatives that foster innovation, and underscored BENEFIT’s pivotal contribution to this transformation, particularly through the continuous development of the national electronic payments infrastructure and the introduction of innovative digital financial solutions that enhance the user experience and facilitate secure, efficient access to financial services.
Mrs. Latifa Al Mutawa, Assistant General Manager of the Bahrain Credit Reference Bureau at BENEFIT, took part in a panel discussion titled “Insights into Digital Finance”, and presented the Bureau’s pioneering experience, diverse range of products and services, and operational processes, and elaborated on the suite of credit tools offered to both individuals and companies, highlighting recent developments in the digital financial services sector.
Mrs. Al Mutawa also underlined the essential role of credit data in promoting innovation, transparency, and sustainability within modern finance, and noted that the Bahrain Credit Reference Bureau remains committed to supporting responsible financing decisions and driving economic growth.
On this occasion, Mr. Abdulwahed AlJanahi reaffirmed that BENEFIT’s participation in this conference reflects its prominent role in advancing digital transformation within Bahrain’s financial and banking sectors, collaboration with academic institutions and reiterated the company’s strategic position as a key partner in the development of the Kingdom’s digital financial infrastructure in alignment with the objectives of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.
